About Pollen in Rosario

Rosario’s spring allergy season (September-November) is dominated by Plane tree and Ash pollen; Plane tree (Platanus x acerifolia) widespread along Boulevard Oroño and city avenues; Ash (Fraxinus) common in residential sidewalks. Privet (Ligustrum) contributes significantly from Parque de la Independencia. Summer (December-February) sees high Grass (Poaceae) pollen levels, originating from the Paraná River islands and Parque Urquiza.

Humidity from the Paraná River and flat pampa winds trap allergens; river breezes carry particles into the urban grid. Autumn and winter see elevated Mould (Alternaria, Cladosporium) spore counts, from decaying organic matter in the Delta wetlands and damp riverside environments.
