Pollen Count & Forecast for Jaipur
About Pollen in Jaipur
Jaipur’s spring allergy season (February-April) is dominated by Indian Elm and Mesquite pollen; Indian Elm (Holoptelea integrifolia) prolific near Jawahar Circle and Central Park; Mesquite (Prosopis juliflora) widespread across the Aravalli Hills. Neem (Azadirachta indica) contributes significantly from Ram Niwas Garden. Monsoon (July-September) sees high Grass (Poaceae) and Parthenium (Parthenium hysterophorus) pollen levels, originating from along the Mansagar Lake banks.
Arid winds and the surrounding Aravalli range trap airborne particles, leading to high dust concentrations. Post-monsoon humidity increases Mould (Alternaria, Aspergillus) spore counts, from organic matter in the Old City and damp soils in local parklands.
