About Pollen in Bali
Bali has a year-round allergy season; the dry season (April-October) is dominated by Bermuda Grass and Acacia pollen; Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon) prolific in rice terraces near Tegalalang; Earleaf Acacia (Acacia auriculiformis) common in West Bali National Park. Whistling Pine (Casuarina equisetifolia) occurs along Sanur and Nusa Dua beaches. The wet season (November-March) sees high Mango (Mangifera indica) and Cogon Grass (Imperata cylindrica) pollen levels, originating from village groves and the Ayung River.
