Pollen Count & Forecast for Casablanca
About Pollen in Casablanca
Casablanca’s spring allergy season (February–May) is dominated by Olive and Cypress pollen; Olive (Olea europaea) prolific in Parc de la Ligue Arabe; Cypress (Cupressus) widespread in the Forest of Bouskoura. Pellitory-of-the-wall (Parietaria judaica) contributes significantly from stone walls in the Habous district. Summer (May–July) sees high Grass (Poaceae) pollen levels, originating from Oued Bouskoura riverbanks and suburban fields.
Coastal winds and humidity can move allergens inland, leading to localised high concentrations along Anfa Hill. Autumn and winter see elevated Mould (Alternaria, Cladosporium) spore counts, from damp building basements and near the Port of Casablanca.
