Pollen Count & Forecast for Doha

Doha’s primary allergy season (February-April) is dominated by Date Palm and Mesquite pollen; Date Palm (Phoenix dactylifera) prolific in Al Bidda Park and the Museum of Islamic Art Park; Mesquite (Prosopis juliflora) widespread across desert fringes. Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon) remains active year-round in Aspire Park. Late summer (August-October) sees high Chenopods (Salsola kali) levels, originating from undeveloped plots near the city outskirts.

Arid conditions and coastal humidity influence pollen dispersal, leading to landward drift from the Persian Gulf. Dust storms carry particles across the flat terrain. Autumn and winter see elevated Mould (Alternaria, Aspergillus) counts, from irrigated greenery and coastal dampness.
