Pollen Count & Forecast for Zaragoza
About Pollen in Zaragoza
Zaragoza’s winter and early spring (January-April) is dominated by Cypress (Cupressaceae); sources are the Parque Grande José Antonio Labordeta and Torrero Cemetery. Plane (Platanus) trees are widespread along the Paseo de la Constitución; late spring (May-June) has high Olive (Olea europaea) and Grass (Poaceae) pollen levels, originating from Ebro River banks. Plantain (Plantago) is common near the Galacho de Juslibol.
The Ebro Valley funnel and dry Cierzo wind cause pollen transport; low rainfall keeps particles airborne. Autumn has elevated Mould (Alternaria, Cladosporium) spore counts, from leaf litter in the Parque del Agua and damp riverbed environments.
