Pollen Count & Forecast for Antalya
About Pollen in Antalya
Antalya’s spring allergy season (February–May) is dominated by Olive and Pine pollen; Olive (Olea europaea) prolific in the Aksu district; Turkish Pine (Pinus brutia) abundant on the Taurus Mountains. Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) contributes significantly from Karaalioğlu Park. Summer (May–August) sees high Wall Pellitory (Parietaria judaica) and Grass (Poaceae) pollen levels, originating from ancient city walls and along Düden River riverbanks.
Coastal winds carry pollen from mountain slopes to the coast, leading to localised high concentrations. Autumn and winter see elevated Mould (Alternaria, Cladosporium) spore counts, from damp leaf litter in Lara Beach parklands and Aksu River riverbanks.
