Pollen Count & Forecast for Lviv
About Pollen in Lviv
Lviv’s spring allergy season (March–May) is dominated by Birch and Alder pollen; Birch (Betula) prolific in Stryiskyi Park and Bryukhovychi forest; Alder (Alnus) widespread along the Poltva riverbanks. Oak (Quercus) contributes significantly from Znesinnia Park. Summer (June–August) sees high Grass (Poaceae) pollen levels, originating from High Castle hills and Pohulianka park.
The Roztochia hills and uneven terrain trap pollen in lower basins; narrow streets restrict airflow. Autumn and winter see elevated Mould (Alternaria, Cladosporium) spore counts, from decomposing leaf litter in parklands and damp city environments.
